i had my boot slam and the internal boot light now stays on. what part is it that makes this stay on? cant see a switch at all in there? also easy enough to change if it is a switch?

Not entirely sure Dan, but I think the switch is in the tailgate, and not in the catch on the body. Interior panels come off a POP. Not sure on the switch itself tho mate :L

Correct, if u undo the boot lock/latch, pull that out you will see the lil blue box that attatched to it. Chances are its just popped off as it only snaps on :L

Wieard In Haynes they say tailgate but on my mk2 from october 2000 the switch is in the lock and not the tailgate??????????????

Its in the bit thats at the bottom not the boot bit that lifts up, so when u lift the boot its the bit u look down to not up to :L
