is the gearbox supposed to be aligned at the bottom with the engine?

if the gearbox is not mounted to the engine correctly then you would have noticed by now i reckon :whistling:
i mention above that as long as i can remember they were flush. this is new positioning i believe wich most likely/isuspect/ leads to the permanent rumble and vibrating at idle i have i.e. clutch not centered. the edge at the bottom is just a few mm (~2-3mm). the gb has not been touched for 8 months.

so something has dropped out , a dowl pin maybe , just a thought :whistling:
it looks like i am wrong: the engine side is lower and it looks like is more something like 4-5mm.
