I've obtained two new flip style Jag keys but i'm having difficulty programming them to my system.

Batteries are ol as i swapped them with a good set, im doing the correct programming method for the Ford keyfobs as im getting a confirmation tone, but NOTHING with the Jag Fob???

Can anyone help?

They are brand new, i would imagine the latest style, but look the same as the ones posted up in pics on this site.

PATS is not yet programmed, but i cant see that would make a difference.

Anyone?

if you are setting up the remote side of the key, are they for the UK market ?

UK/Europe remote fobs work on 450Mhz where the remotes for the USA/Canada work on 350Mhz.

You could have a USA Version. To find out is let us know the part code on the remote part & I can compare this to the UK version that I have.

the only part numbers i can see on the rear are..

1X43-15K601-AJ

i spoke to the guy that got them for me and he said that it was highly unlikely to be a US version and that they are for an S Type as i have the complete lock set also

i have 3 plus the jag one, i think the total is four..

Whats the procedure for erasing the stored keys? i think its just to perform the fob programming but only reprogram ONE, then the others wont work.. Is that right?

Yes mate, but reprograming them all again will erase any previously stored ones and you have done that already.
What i was thinking is that if there are say 8 keys programmed to pats and say 8 is maximum allowed then would it also stop any remotes being entered?

ok.. im just about to take a hammer to these bloody remotes...

Im thinking now that Jag must have altered the frequencies or there is some other super duper way of getting them to work..

Was also thinking that the numbers stamped on the rear of the circuit board have something to do with it, they are 2366. Maybe something lile stand on one leg, put your left arm in the air and press the buttons twice for open, three times for lock, 6 times lights on and six times boot unlock then hope for the best.... im a little peeved.. har har...

ok, ive just found the packets to the remotes and they say the following...

22c9101A0e0

315.0 MHZ 4K JAG IK

So i guess that if the mondeo remotes work on 450 then these aint gonna play.. is there any wayt o alter the frequency on the fob?
