Hi all, I have a similar issue to what I've seen others have but mine seems to be worse. The alarm started going off when the car was unlocked with the boot open and I couldn't stop it with the fob. Figured out how to stop it, assumed it was the battery, got home and the spare fob won't work either. The message it says is alarm service required and it often says key not detected. Took it to an electrical specialist today who said it's show external alarm sensor fault, they didn't know what or where this was and apparently neither did the Ford dealership they spoke to. I'm thinking of getting an auto locksmith to reprogram the keys but wondering if that'll just be more money wasted. Anyone got any ideas? Apologies if this is posted in the wrong place, I'm new around here. Thanks.

Try a reset by disconnecting the battery (negative lead) - have radio code handy and wait a few mins then reconnect - this sometimes resets the system.

I've tried that but it didn't make any difference. Last night I had an auto locksmith check it out and the key fobs are working fine sending out a signal but he reprogrammed then just incase and nothing changed. He seems to think it's the receiver at fault. Anyone had this before?

I tried all this in the end I got someone to trun the alarm off on the compute to, deactivate problem solved..ford wanted around 500 just to look at it
