Has anyone fitted an LCD screen into their dash as a permanent install?

If so, could you tell me what screen you used and where you put the screen?
Pictures would also be great.

Few have done this, kerryw has done it, gravedigger did as well.

I spent this weekend putting the screen in. The cd player has been moved and so has the traction control/heated seat switches.

i did one similar over christmas for the mk1 but i relocated the heater controls

Where did you put the heater controls?

the heater controls are going in the lower part, in the pics its just a blank at the moment

on the mk1 we dont have the original heater unit due to lack of space but the std control for the std heater unit could be moved it would just need a new control cable to be made up to the right length
