Hi Guys,
Couldn't be sure until it rained heavy again but I have water coming in over cill at front corner of driver's door - the footwell is sodden this morning. Looks like it might be coming down from where it meets bonnet/wing but can't be sure.

Have read other posts and seems clear silicon can do the trick but not sure where to start or apply - does any one have any clues? How do I trace it? Cheers :(

close your door and have a look at the gap where the top of the door frame meets the roof...

the rubber door surround should be in a 'channel' shape to direct water over the door frame and down past the wing mirror.

if you had the same problem as me then my door shut wierd so there was a slight gap between the door and the rubber seal. so when it pi55ed it down, rain could sneak in at the top of the doorframe, then sneak its way down to the lower sill and make its way in there!

check the drivers side first and then if suspicious, check the passenger side to see what it should look like.

hope this helps, and i dont think many people sufer this..

:L

I had this with a rear door. Turned out to be the foam seal behind the door card coming away from the door - it is stuck in place with mastic at the factory.

You can confirm by removing the door card and running water over the outside of the door. You will then see exactly where it is coming in. Mine needed a bit more mastic behind the foam seal at the bottom corner and then it was OK.
