Hi
My 2.2 tdci from cold semes to run a bit lumpy at idle, As if it was running on 3 cylinders. Once running for about 2 mins it's ok
I did wonder about putting some fuel injector cleaner in the system or a good blast up the motorway.

Thanks

Martin

Do both, and it might be an idea to do an ECU reset on it aswell (see Workshop - Electrical Section)

Hi
I tried both but still the same. I took the car into my local dealer under warrinty and they recalibrated the injectors ( this for the second time in 9 months ) but when i got the car back it was wores
than when i put it in to the dealers.
The ford dealer is going to contact fords to see what the next move is, They have sugested to replace the ingectors with permison from fords, Has anyone come across this problem before,Also it sounds more like a bag of nails with no get up and go from cold now from them being recalibrated
Out of interest how much would a new set of injectors cost?.
:thankyousign:

Someone said the other day that they had a quote from the ford dealer... 4 injectors supplied and fitted plus calibration = £1800!!!

Rang the dealer this morning to tell them that it as made it worse and said that they cannot reprogram with the old prameters.
I wonder if it has a flash memory upgrade, or it will setle after time.
As it has 1 year left in warranty i hope it will be sorted soon.
