OK I know that MEG is now TalkFord etc however by declaring my membership of this hallowed parish Adrian Flux brought my quote down from £660 to £449.

The adviser told me that they have an underwriter who specialises in vehicles owned by people who are members of a car owners club. To be honest I didn't think he would accept TalkFord, however when he said that to qualify for the saving I should just join Petrolheads or the like, I immediately fessed up my 14 years with MEG (and its transition to TalkFord)

That was good enough to get the reduction, so now for the princely sum of £478 (I paid extra for the window screen cover) I am insured with AXA, how cool is that?

I've missed you all but I'm back now so insanity will return

Do you need to supply copies of your licence and the DVLA code etc with Flux?

I think my parents have used them under another name and whinging that they

have never had to do this in 40+ years of motoring.

No, haven't been asked for any of that, although the pre-recorded blurb when they first answer the phone states that they will credit reference you as part of the application process (you can opt out of this if you wish)

All they have asked for confirmation of is the mileage on the car (to ensure I don't break the 7500 mile limit) and my NCB

Is your car highly modified?
I'm asking as your premium seems quite high for a mk3 Mondy.

My brother in law was with them until it come to renewing his .

His new premium had gone quite a lot he phoned around a found a better price

When he called them up and told them he had found it much cheaper with a main insurance company

he was told that thy would match it .He told them to stick it .

I didn't even get past the postcode with them, apparently OL postcodes are a no no for both of them.
