got mk1 diesel mondeo just had the pump reconditioned by diesel specialist as it wouldn’t start before and had the injectors recon as well fitted them but now it runs on 3 and Smokey on tick over when warm but a little sluggish on pull away but superb when the turbo kicks in got 105 mph out of it no probs just tick over terrible please help

maybe the pump hasn't been timed properly. Running properly the car's good for 122mph/4900rpm :L

checked the timming twice with draper lock up set the only thing is pin wise my crank lock pin has very and i mean very slight bend in it doesnt affect it screwing into the engine at all ive done a good few these belts in my time so it not like its my first time using the pins

I can just about get that from my 2.0 petrol but you'll be lucky to get a genuine 110mph from a Mk1 TD, and I've had a couple

LOL. Is the picture blurred because your camera hand was shaking or was the engine vibrating the car to bits

I notice the car was heavy with a near full tank. You should have tried it closer to empty and you might have seen 125 on the speedo

don't want to sound stupid but checked the glow plugs laterly? just a suggestion plus its a 5min job

whilst the injectore were out i checked the glow plugs at night by switching the ignition on and looking down were the injectors normally are and they all glowed a nice orange all at the same time as well
