It's just a musing really. I have a MK1 Mondeo, I bought it with a bit of a battered front O/S wheel arch (X5 in a supermarket car park apparently). Anyway I have filled it and painted it with halfords no frills paint, but it being the nouveau red metallic colour, it didn't come out looking too great and it was just a pain, having to file down and re-lacquer several times anyway.

I note PanelMatch used to sell bodypanels for MK1 mondeos, but they only seem to do bumpers now. Anyhoo, my question is actually how easy are these arch panels to fit? (Is it actually possible for me to do myself or does it involve horrible welding and such)? My Haynes manual is scarily blank in relation to wheel arches...

the mk1 has bolt-on front wings. go round some scrappies to find one. or do you mean the wheelarch spats which are part of the bodykit? if so they just screw on.

Yeah sorry, didn't make it clear. One of these:

Shame panelmatch don't have them anymore. Is it an easy job to do?
