My exterior temperature display appears to have a mind of it's own at the moment currently displaying the outside temperature as 57F most days but 52F on a good day! Anyone have any clues on how to reset it? Has worked fine up until now

dont think you can reset it but u can reset the ecu that might help.

click on meg workshop up above ^^ and go into the electrical section :L

Maybe it's not located properly in the front bumper and is getting a false reading from wind chill or engine heat ?
