i never have, and never had any problems. Just make sure you switch ignition to position 2 for a few secs before you try to crank it

if you remove the fuse for the fuel pump first, then start the engine till it die's.then remove the filter is the best way i've found to do this job.fuse number 14 in engine bay is the one you want(15A-blue) :L
