Mk2 Td - Theres a serious hesitation pulling above 1250 to about 1350 rpm then car is fine.

Car is in gear whilst this is happening.

Happens only in 3rd, 4th and 5th, 1st and 2nd are fine.

Hi jcth1,

Take a look at the owners manual. It will tell you the minimum speeds for the different gears. These minimum speeds will put the engine well over 1350rpm.

Good luck,

David

i know that i shouldnt rev it so low but on flat ground it pulls so well in the gears im asking from it.

Its just there and i would like to eliminate it.

I tend to change up around 2,000 rpm but if say im coming to the lights and leave it in gear to roll then pull away sometimes its on the 1250 mark and hesitates.

Could this also be a side effect of my K and n?

when i go to put my foot down yea. Was thinking of turning up the on boost screw but was thinking at the same time to have a play with the screw inside the pump but i dont know how far to turn that one.

the internal speciliast is supposed to be done by a specialist ideally or you might knock out all the fuel pump timing etc.

Derv Dr it will be then. What suggestions in the mean time without adjusting the on boost screw to try and rid the car of this hesitation?

Just blocked the EGR vacuum pipe up with a couple .177 Pellets and the hestitation has dissapeared. I dont know if that could of been the cause but time will tell i guess.
