Evening all.

Since I got the car I've had a little niggle with the central locking.

It's the drivers door mechanism that sticks a bit so I was just wondering how hard / easy it is to take it out and give it a clean?

I've had the whole locking mech out of a couple of Mk1s so I have a bit of an idea but I would just like a heads up before I try and take it out :L

I don't know which part it is that sticks so I don't know if a blast of wd in the door would work or not?

Also.....(sorry)

If I lock the door when I'm driving along (I usually drive with the doors locked) then when I park up and turn the engine off, I can't open the door. It's as if the door is deadlocked and I have to use the unlock button on the remote fob to open the door. Any ideas on that please?

Have you got motion auto lock enabled. :question:

Don't think so as I have to lock the door myself when I'm on the move. It never locks itself.

Turn motion lock on, easy peasy, saves you having to lock it yourself :L

As for it sticking, I dont know, sorry
