I wonder if someone can advise.

My Mk3 Mondeo seems to eat the outside edge of it's front tyres at a fairly alarming rate. I've had the tracking checked and that was OK. I thought it might be because I didn't initially have "extra load" rated tyres on it, but now I do and they are wearing just the same.

I've seen lots of threads about inside edge wear, but nothing about outside edges. Oh, and no, I DON'T drive it like I stole it!!

Tracking is a waste of money really, designed to get an extra £20 out of you while getting your tyres done and wouldnt help at all in your situation.

You need to have the geometry done, it sounds like you have positive camber. Theres a page in the wiki (here) that will give you more information.

Also the benefit of having geometry done is they check for any suspension/steering problems before doing it....
