Hi, am new to the forum so please pardon my ignorance.
I have a '02 Mk3 and i can't figure what the trip computer actually does. Sure, it displays the outside temp and i think speed, mpg and distance to empty.. I would like to know why the speed and mpg dont really change as you drive? Also, I can faintly make out the image of a speedometer/guage in the LCD but this is never selected..any ideas?
Also, how would you remove the analogue clock because the lighting on one side of the face is..well..not..

Your speed and mpg on the trip are average readings mate.

You will be able to see the speed as you drive, but its reset everytime you turn the car off

Cheers lads..sorry for the daft questions..just thought it pretty cool to see the thing drinking away me wages in real time...LOL..
Also, i did pull out my glove and I do have the brown module-box jobbie. Does that mean I have power fold door mirrors?? It doesnt say anything on the knob, though..hmm..how would I know?
