just changed front brake pads .breaking seems fine but all of a sudden a really horrible scraping,whining noise appears press the brake pedal the noise goes but comes back later any ideas anyone cheers

did you put a smear of copperslip on the back of the pads ???? :whistling:

I HAVE PUT SOME GREASE ON THE BACK OF THE PADS,LETS SEE IF THIS CURES IT CHEERS

someone mentioned a few days ago about friction material coming off the metal base.
what make pads did you fit m8?

sorry about the capital letters,i put some grease on the pads and the noise only appears now and again i can live with it and as for brake pads i just asked at car parts shop for some .
