Ford mondeo 2014 2.0 tdci auto powershift, when I gain speed it's spluttering through the gears gets better once warmed up. I'm not mechanical minded but what could be causing this?

Its just a guess to be honest if it's rough in Between changes and not anywhere else. Auto gearboxes need more frequent maintenance compared to manual

Not strictly true conventional auto boxes need very little maintenance, the Powershift however does. The Getrag 6DCT450 has duel wet clutches and requires oil and filter changed every 37000 miles or 3 years. If not done it can get very costly. Getting it done at a Ford dealer can run to a few hundred quid. There are quite a few threads on here about doing so.
