Mondeo V6 Race Tube or Race Pipe?

Hi there,

I've seen some ebay auctions which were for selling a Race Tube (silencerless center pipe) for the Mondeo V6 / ST24.
Did somebody made some experience? Is it too loud if I would connect this to an existing performance back box from blueflame? (Straight thru silencer)
'Cause the existing center part built by blueflame is not that loud in upper rev as I thought it would be.

Eventhough the V6 got 3 CAT's!? So there is still something increasing the noise. =)

I'd be very grateful for your comments!

hi buddy, ive got the race tube on my st, and i would say it will make your car sound a bit more louder, mine sounds like a race car, but beefy,

and yes my whole exhaust system is straight through :L

jack, he's not talking about the decat, hes got a system on his car, he's talking about his mid section, and the race tube replaces the mid section, now this connects the rear back boxes to the decat

Hi there

thanks for your posts!

I'm going to receive my mid section tube next week. Hopefully it's not too loud.

I've had this construction on my escort. Miss that car really. But was only 1.4 litre engine and sounded like a Chevy V8... hehe

I'll give you a feedback after fitting the tube to my car next week.

Here Iam, back again. I'm sorry, but it took a little bit longer than I expected to get some time for fitting the race tube to my car.

Now it's done and it sounds awesome! I like the deep tone and it's of course not too loud because the V6 engine has got three catalytic converters in front of the exhaust system. That's the reason behind it.

As a back box I used the blueflame type with the 3" tailpipe.
