Owned For: 2 years
Good Points: Ok on fuel, very very reliable, breezes through MOTs
Bad Point: Front Bearing gone a couple of times, bumpers very crap, inside air vents prone to snapping especially

Overall Rating:

I have had this car for two years, after changing from a fiesta, and the car is superb. Its very reliable, starts first time every time on a daily basis, and everything works as it should. Unfortunately I have had to replace the wheel bearings twice, but it is an aging car now. Amazingly there isnt much rust, and it only had ONE advisory at the last MOT, which is great. Very comfortable and nice to drive, on short and long distances. I have got the usual mondeo "gaffer tape" on the front bumper however, these bumpers are prone to breaking even without hitting anything, I will end up replacing this some time in the future.
The boot size is very spacious, can fit a trolley full of shopping in there, one thing I have noticed on my vehicle however is the temperature gauge on the dashboard just stays at stone cold but thats a faulty sensor.
For its age, it really responds well, the clutch has a nice bite (its not long or anything), the brakes are very responsive, all in all a great car.
Some of the air vents have snapped because the plastic is really flimsy on these models (was improved on mk2) and you cant replace them unless you take the whole dashboard out (unlike on the mk2 where they just pop out). There is a nice pen holder next to the handbrake too!
Great family size car, and well happy with it. Recommended. To some people it might look a bit dated now but to me that adds to the charm and retro value!
