I think you'd have to get a European one for the passenger side and a uk one for the drivers side (in the uk anyway, abroad would be t'other way round).

how do they sound having tweeter positioned like I would have thought they would be abit harsh like that

Actually I cant hear any signitifican difference from when they sit like this.

have you tried them on the A pillar firing across at each other sounds great in my car and gives a good sound stage. Alot of car audio installer think it's the best place to put them

Componants loudspeakers are designed to operate with the tweeter a maximum of a foot from the centre of the mid driver. This creates one sound as a whole instead of having the mid and top end seperate by distance.

Many people like them up high as this gives the sound a very detailed quality.
