Just clean it, if it's causing problems. Removal would be illegal, invalidate your insurance and just pointless.

hi guys, could someone tell why theres no induction kit for a 2.2 tdci s max xsport!

cant seem to find any one selling anywhere!

2.0 tdci yes but for a 2.2 none

Because the 2.2 and the 2L share the same engine and the induction kit fits both?

Or because they are a watse of time and they dont sell enough to warrant making

them?

Thing is, on the 2.5t, an aftermarket kit is recommended. Having plumbed in a manometer I found the intake pipework to the air filter box was causing a restriction. Hence why I ripped out all the intake and run an open pod filter straight to the air flow meter.

Wouldn't like to guess about a diesel though.

diesels are a pain in the rear as the MAF sensor mount is built into the airbox. i was wanting to fit a cone filter to mine, for no other reason than to make a space under the bonnet

The 2.0 and 2.2 are pretty identical, I know as I just swapped a 2.2 into my 2.0, however I wasn't paying K&N prices so made my own!

how did you get around the airflow meter issue, as it seems to be part of the air box?

EDIT: just seen its a mk3 rather than a mk4
