As the title says.

Have had the system regassed and checked for leaks.

Compressor still freely spins up.

Replaced the fan module and put a direct feed to it to see if the fan spins which it did.

Have gone through and checked fuses which all seem ok.

So any ideas where to look next?

I have heard clicking noises coming from the fuse box but guess that is relays?

Also on start up inside the cabin you get quite a few creaking noises coming from the dash near the vents even with the blowers off.

Any help, advice and photos of where I should be looking next would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks ????

I can't help other than to say the creaking etc on start up is normal. It is the air con / climate control going through its set up.

The fan has to be running before A/C wtll work, I checked mine by leaving the engine idling after a run anf fan then fan started after awhile proving fan system and purple wire problem ok.

subsequently after two so called specialists and two regass's a third finally found a leak which meant a new condenser and been fine for the last couple of years.

The purple wire is the control signal for the Fan and apparently runs from the fan to the module under the front nearside wheel arch and appears to break someware on a bend in the loom, cant tell you exact location because it wasn't a fault on mine, it also controls the fan on engine coolant temp hence why I checked mine by leaving the engine idling to prove the fan worked on high temp,

Their was a lot of posts on the forum a few years back so should try a search.

I'm desperate to get the air-con working.

I have replaced the fan plug as the purple wire was corroded as it goes into the fan.

The radiator fan never comes on. No fault codes in forscan. Fuses and relays all good.

Anywhere else to try?

Are you sure the AC system is working? The fan wont come on if the AC

is not active.

Or you could try triggering the temperature sensor on the radiator so it thinks

its overheating and will power up the fan. See if that works.

Is the AC clutch kicking in?

As Purple says, if the air con is not fully gassed up the Aircon won't work and the clutch will not engage
