most places only leak check using vacuum (which is what they did with mine. TWICE, and showed no leaks) so its possible its still got a gas leak. is the pump actually turning or just the outer pulley?

The fan has to be running before A/C wtll work, I checked mine by leaving the engine idling after a run anf fan then fan started after awhile proving fan system and purple wire problem ok.
subsequently after two so called specialists and two regass's a third finally found a leak which meant a new condenser and been fine for the last couple of years.
The purple wire is the control signal for the Fan and apparently runs from the fan to the module under the front nearside wheel arch and appears to break someware on a bend in the loom, cant tell you exact location because it wasn't a fault on mine, it also controls the fan on engine coolant temp hence why I checked mine by leaving the engine idling to prove the fan worked on high temp,
Their was a lot of posts on the forum a few years back so should try a search.
Hi sorry to jump on your thread but not sure how to make my own my Airton is doing the same my fan not kicking in but works when i put a direct wire to it my aircon clutch doesn't kick in and my relay doesn't click
Follow the purple control wire at the fan multi plug back, and you will find it corroded and or broken where the wiring loom meets the chassis leg - Passenger side. Repair the break, and you should be good to go. May need to clear the fault code.
OK thank you fan doesn't come on at all even after long drive and then left idling can I get to purple wire through top of engine or do i need to go underneath
Thank you do I need to go under car for wire or can it be found from engine bay
I've found fan works with direct wire to battery and relay is OK check it out of car but when in car it doesn't click. I've found the purple wire that goes into fan but struggling to find the other end any help greatly recieved thanks

As Purple says, if the air con is not fully gassed up the Aircon won't work and the clutch will not engage
