Proper Ford stuff, check for Ford dealers on ebay.

Ford Formula F. Or any that meets M2C913C or better spec.

I use Castrol Magnatec 5w30 and would normally buy a few bottles when they're on offer...normally when @TreborB makes a post 馃槀

Used the same for my previous Mondeo and my old Sierra (different grade though) and that did 190,000 miles.

Ha, that brings back memories frembrit. Don't get those offers at Tesco anymore since Covid started.
In fact most stuff has gone up in price, some being an absolute ripoff

Think I emptied the shelves at ASDA after someone mentioned the oil was on discount. Watching people look at
the labels and walking away because it didnt actually list their model.

If it meets the specs it will work and at those prices you could use it as flushing oil. :)

+1 for Magnatec aswel,i buy enough for 2 oil changes when Halfords have it on offer.
Is it just me, or are these sold in "just not quite enough" for an oil and filter change? There is a 5L bottle...or there is a "service pack"!

Magnatec is sold in 4L and 1L bottles...I just buy loads of 4L bottles...3 bottles will do two changes for my 2.2 diesel (6L needed). I normally do changes every 6 months (6000 - 7000 miles in normal times), but haven't this year due to massively reduced mileage (4800 miles from March 2020 to March 2021)

I think Opie Oils in Redruth Cornwall offer a "service pack" but don't think the price makes it beneficial, can't remember.
Like Frembrit, when it was regularly on offer at Tesco, pre pandemic days, at half price, I used to buy 3 off 4 litre cans at a time

That's where I am looking to order from...

Their (6 litre) service pack for Magnatec (stop/start, which I don't have, but can it hurt?) including oil filter for 拢68.50 is the best value I can find - if I am not going to wait for these enigmatic offers you all speak of! o_O

Then, by the time I add in an equally well priced fuel and air filter...I am in to free postage...

It's 100% fine to use the Stop/Start spec.
The offer days seem to have long gone on all, if not most, things these days - in fact many items have gone up
