i had an idea about the pollen filter on the mondeo i was thinking seen as the air gets sucked through it to and blown out in the car, what if it was possible to find a filter the same size but a K&N one or similar maybe even a piper cross one? and replacing the pollen filter with one of them that would improve the air flow for the heater. only thing is its not going to filter pollen i wouldnt think but atleast it would last longer than a pollen filter and the air flow would be a lot better.

anyway its an idea it would take some more thought before anything else. just want to see what you guys think about the idea

the trouble is its a diffrent type of filter , not only is it made out of a dencer type of filter but you would be at a disadvantage not having a so good filter, plus you might find you COULD get more damp air in that could not be so god :( etc , if all that makes sence :L

well if pollen isnt a problem for you then thats no problem if it is a problem its not a good idea no i see where your coming from.

maybe if the air goes through quicker aswell people wouldnt need aircon so much and as most ppl know aircon does dry the air.

lol, sorry man but its a stupid idea. Were you smoking something when you came up with this? Wouldnt be the first time now would it?

what benefits would there be? if you want more air, turn it up. whatever little (and it would be little) extra air flow you get, you'd not even notice.

i know the air con drys the air , but when you dont have your aircon on , and the filter lets a slite more moist air though your going to get more damp or moist air in , plus other things it does it wont do if you remove it , i cant see the point in what your doing but good luck :D

You can buy aftermarket ones that don't have the charcoal in them that filters odours out (to a degree), they seem to let more air through, the Hot air on the EATC on my previous 2001 Mk3 seemed to be more consistent with one of these.
