evnin all :L

right, got a bit of a query here,

ive got a copy of the phpbb software, is it possible to get it running in front page? so i can configure it all up before i upload it to the web?

As far as I know.

Right click on the the .php file and choose open with, then find the Frontpage programme, normally in Programme Files

You wont be able to run forum software with any web design package.

You'll need to install a MySQL database and apache and PHP on your home computer first.

If he wants to edit the php files then he can.

That's how I took the question anyway

yeah, you can edit them in notepad.

to actually view the files in graphical way, I dont think that will work as many different files are called to display a page.

sorry, when i said 'running' i didnt mean literally running properly,

what i meant was can i get it working so that i can configure it, i.e. set forums up, basically do all the admin malarky before i set it away on t'web

Yes, Frontpage will let you do that.

Also, as Monk said so will Notepad, a very basic setup but loads quickly.

im gonna have a fiddle round with it now, i'll probably end up deleting Windows knowing my luck lol :L

lol, you cant do admin stuff like set-up forums and the like unless the software is running!
They require a database!

Trust me!
