A friend has brought a 1997 mondeo ghia x and it has a couple of faults, was hoping if you can help me help him with it?

The instrument panel lights don’t work, the heater only works on full (number 4) the heated seats don’t work and the stereo panel is just green other than that it seems to be great

Anyone help me out with this one? Oh I should mention that I aint to bright when it comes to anything mechanical or electrical lol or anything else for that matter

He's checked the fuses and the heater resisitor that is up behind glovebox.

instrument panel lights can be a few things, blown bulbs, bad electrical circuit, or instument clocks are on their way out as the PCB on the back is dying.

Heater, is more than likley the heater resistor, or a duff panel switch, stereo panel could just be broken

if the heater resistor is ok (ish) then replace the fan blower. anti clockwise to undo i think.

If the rear sidelights are not working as well as the dash lights then the connection on the back of the light switch will need cleaning

Well in the end he just got it back from the garage. They teld him it was the fuse box? They have replaced it and now every thing works except the seats (elements im told) and the stereo (hes gonna have a look on ebay).
