Hi guys not posted much on here,

Just want to clear one thing up that's bothering me.....DMF!!

I suspect it my DMF its grabby sometimes when I bring it to bite and sometime stalls if im not on the accel but I can drag in on the handbrake if I want, if I do that or hold the brakes and bring it to bite I get like a squeak / rattle from the N/S engine bay where the DMF lives hence my hunch.

Am I right in thinking this is the DMF and how much would I be looking at if I was to do it myself or is it not worth the hassle?

Thanks for reading, Peter

Your symtoms sound a bit more like salve cylinder then the DMF, but either way its gearbox out (subfrane has to come off first). While the gearbox is out you may as well replace the DMF and the entire clutch.

Expect about £300 for parts and about £400 for labour.

A god way to check for DMF failure is to remove the Starter and check the pinion area for swarf. A faiiing DMF will shed a lot of swarf and it accunulates in the starter pinion area.
