Can anyone tell me where i will find the relay or module for Mk3 Power fold mirrors?

i have a spare relay base at the bottom of the CJB (main fuse box) in the footwell and was wondering if thats the one, i have washer jets, that has a relay in there, but just wondered where to find the one for the mirrors.

Thanks

Maybe any mk3 owners who have these fitted can tell me..

i would say that they are already rigged up, but as experience has shown me thats not always the case...

I've got the relay holder in place, but Ford being Ford might not have fitted the wiring to the doors & mirror. Hopefully i can find a relay so i can get this mod finished, managed to get 2 new mirrors & housings (power fold) for 37 quid each.. Bargain...

did you manage to get this done yet? was it difficult? I maybe wouldn't mind having a go myself.

not the case i reckon , well at least my 2001 zetec has mirrors that fold manually and i suspect that they would not move that easily if there was a motor involved :L

The mirrors are totally different units.

Lixxy, if you already have the relay holder present, you may be lucky. On mine there was only the blue holder for headlamp wash, not the brown one for the mirrors.

All done and finished, got the mirrors from Ebay through a company called maxxdistribution, £32 each, bought the relay for £40 then found one in the scrappy 2 days later (sods Law), bought the replacement switch and all is well.. Now upgrading to later facelift mirrors with the puddle lights as well...

power fold mirrors are only fitted to the facelifted models (53 plate on/2004MY) but its possible to fit to any mk3

the hardest bit is you have to run extra wires into the door

Hi, been reading up on your power fold saga. How did it go in the end? Did you need additional wiring in the doors? Is the switch you refer to the mirror adjust switch? Have got two new mirrors with the puddle lights off ebay( £52 each - wish I'd read your post first!) Car due in for paint soon, so will do any wiring work while door cards off. Rear cabin light and auto dip mirror to go in as well. All advice on mirrors gratefully rec'd! Cheers :naughty:

i already had the cabin wiring in place so it was easy, the doors will need additional wiring.

The mirror switch you have at the moment will not do the job, you will need the correct part listed above
