Hi and welcome to the club. The quick answer is yes it can be done. you need the door looms of a facelift model and the mirrors. For the pwerfolds, you need to see if you have a brown relay holder under the main fuesbox in the glovebox, if you have them you will have all of the wiring in place except for the puddle lights in the mirrors.swannley said:Hi all
I've just purchased a 2001 Mondeo, and upon returning home with it turns out the electric wing mirrors don't move, at all!
Upon closer inspection, it seems that the mirrors are in poor condition, with one having been glued together again, and the other being held together with electrical tape - i'm just too scared to even touch that one. Neither actually fold any more either.
Now, I've had a look around the car, and it would seem all the electrics are in order, no fuses out and all the wiring right up into the mirrors are in good condition.
I know i can get replacement mirrors for 25ish quid off ebay, however i was wondering if i can just go the whole hog and install the power folding mirrors which are also available but for the facelift models.
I presume my car isn't wired correctly, that's no issue as i'm ok at that but, if this is possible, does anyone have the appropriate wiring diagrams? Been all over t'internet to no avail!
Thanks in advance
