pretensioners interchangeable?

at scrappie yesterday i noticed that some x-reg mondeos had a revised pretensioner that even my x-reg st200 doesnt have.
in fact, it was hard to find a car with decent milage with the usual/normal style pretensioner.

mt q is: does anybody know these pretensioners are interchangeable?
