ive had my battery off for fitting new waterpump

ive slid the battery heat cover over the battery then put it onto battery tray and then connected leads

the positive lead/s are running up the outside of the battery wrap around cover and are almost touching the coolant hose's that run parallel, so im worried that the heat from the hose's may damage the red battery lead?

i cant remember how it was before i took battery off

should the pos battery lead be inside the battery wrap cover (in between battery and cover) and not outside it like mine is at the mo?

thanks in advance

The leads should be heat resistant to a certain point anyway, as they are designed to resist the electrical current running through them, plus they are under the bonnet which is a pretty hot place to be no matter where your sat in it. :)
