radio code

Not allowed to post on here ways of getting the code.

But try pulling the radio out of the dash. I had the same thing happen and luckily the previous owner had wrote it on the back of the radio.

Hi check all the books/papers etc. I had the same problem and nearly went to fords but decided to have one last look and found it written on second to last page of service record book, really small in the corner. Iv read on hear that some people have found them written on top of head unit after removal

i will check the top of the radio when i get some prongs to take it out with. i have checked all the pages of everything and cant see it at all, gutted

several i have looked at have has a piece of paper with the code printed on the top.

Does the factory do this & is the dealer supposed to remove them?

Either it done by a lazy dealer so they don't loose the number or it my have been done by the original owner of the car.

If the sticker has the S/N of the radio & the code, that should be on a card, which ford advise you keep separate from the rest and away from the car.

i hope it is on top. will find out monday when i get my removal tools

If not I might have a program to decode- but never tried it for facelifts and it's a different program for the 1.5 din units.

I thought facelift radio's were a ford only job?

It depends on the S/N of the unit, If it begins with a V then it's the dealer, if M them you can find ways for the code in the internet.
