rear door handle surrounds

Hi All
Still having problems getting rear door handle surrounds off, Pulled it that hard the plastic clip snapped :angryfire: Still got the other side to do, never had such a problem with these before. I have removed the screw but it still seems to be attached to something on the other end.Anyone got any ideas..

obviosly there is probably a proper method but just yank it off the clips are crap! :)

iirc once the screw is out you have to slide it out it is hooked in so to speak - push it towards the open end of the handle if you know what i mean!
