Rear end noise

I have a "noise" coming from what sounds like the rear right of the car.I have had the rear sub frame bushes done and have had all the drop link bushes checked and they are ok.

The noise is different from the subframe bushes noise when they go.I had it looked at by my mechanic and its going on thursday as he thinks it may be a spring or shock,but the car is still riding the same height..is this correct if a shock or spring has gone?
