Hi

I replaced the radiator on my mk3 TDDI, and changed the antifreeze. The problem:

is that the cars temp is in the middle,

The engine is warm.

The fan kicks in.

But i have not got any Heat. It blows cold air even when on hot.

None of my radiator pipes is warm/hot.they are cold. Even after 20 mins of running.

Anyone help :(

I second Totalguy's statement - air lock. I have a 2.0l SOHC Ford Sierra engined kitcar (Pinto engine) and airlocks are a constant difficulty if you have to break into the cooling system. The symptons are as you describe except that I don't have a heater. Cold pipes or warm lower extremities and cold tops on the larger hoses.

No Totalguy it's a Westfield (Lotus 7 replica) with a Pinto engine from a 2.0l Sierra or Granada, fitted with a pair of Dellorto 40s, Vulcam Maxflow head, and Kent Fast Road cam. But the rad is set more or less on a level with the expansion tank so getting the air out of the top hose can be a pain.
