My rear tailgate window has been broken.

Supply chain issues mean my new vehicle is off the road with absolutely no idea of obtaining a replacement window from production in Poland (which is currently halted).

As the new model is based on the VW Caddy, can anyone advise me if there might be any way around by sourcing a temporary VW fix? I’m dependent on having a vehicle to get to work, and couldn’t have imagined that Ford would sell the new model without having spare parts available.

Any thoughts or suggestions welcome

You may find the stock situation changes depending on the tint/colour.

Use catcar.info or 7zap.com websites. Use your VIN but also check variations on the tint. Just had a look and it seems the
lighter tint maybe out of stock but the darker one maybe in stock.

Could you replace the glass with acrylic or polycarbonate until glass becomes available?

DIY or you may be able to find a local company to thermally form the plastic so it curves to fit the frame.

Race cars use it as a windscreen and side windows so cannot see why its unsafe.

The glass may add rigidity to the tailgate but its a stop gap measure it will keep the weather out.
