the rear screen i cant see why not, it would have had a heated screen from new, and all you have to do is solder the connections to the screen plates (slightly tricky using a hot soldering iron but possible)

the front screen however overall is a no.
Whilst it can be done, the screen alone has its own power and earthing connections. Then theres the wiring for the relay which involves direct battery connection, theres the switch as well which has to go through another relay (unless you want a 12v jolt when you turn it on) plus iirc it needs to be bonded to the framework differently and the car may or may not have the correct earthing points.

i remember looking into having one fitted into the escort, and looked long and hard at everything i would have to do. The basic answer was that it wasnt worth it unless i could get a complete wiring loom fusebox n all top to tail (and i MEAN everything) the screen with someone to fit it, and several very thick cables

found out the car im getting does have heated screens front and back.

Just as it was an aspen base model i suspected it didnt come with one.

The question from prompted after driving my dads glx mk1. No heated front screen you see as i thought it was standard on mk1s throughout the range.
