Just wanted to ask are these roof rails (as in picture) same (widith/dimensions) for mk4 and mk5?

In other words, can I fit these from mk5 to mk4?

I assume you mean the (cross) bars? Does your MK4 have the rails (front to back) like in the photo? Even if you did it might not.

Yes, cross-bars, sorry. Yes, mine mk4 has rails same as this mk5 in the pic.

Ok, then you need to work out where those bars have come from and check if they are the same part number for your car. Are they Ford bars?

They're Fords. They differ in the catalog, but I have never had the opportunity to try them. The width and the rails themselves look identical. Often the numbers in the catalog differ even if the parts match. so I'm just wondering if anyone has any practical knowledge on the subject.
