anyone out there can advise decent chip to give more torque, acceleration, etc

They remap your current chip, they dont replace them.

If you ever get a service at a garage that updates the ECU it will wipe the remap though.

Ideally you want somewhere with a rolling road to show the before and after difference.

My gripe is that a lot say custom remap and then load a generic map that will install

on all cars even if yours is modified.

Just go on internet and look at Superchips, they do a Bluefin remap for yours, you can add it or take it off yourself and it is on a special offer price at the moment. Superchips are well used and respected by the Focus ST owners on their forum
