shaft sizes

Went to swap my drive shafts at the weekend on my 98 st24. my replacements were off a v6 ghiax was going to leave the knuckles in the gearbox and just replace the boot on that side... But the bearings on the ghia x shafts are massive compared to my st ones and the thickness of the shaft is alot thicker than my st ones.
Mine look like they should be on a 1.1 fiesta compared to the ghia's
