Asking this on behalf of the old man. 4 pot 16V Black Top Zetec 2L, how do you get the lead off the pugs?

twist the tops if able to ( not using the leads though ) as this seems to help & then carefully pull them off,

if that fails like it did on one of mine in my mk1 the first time i changed the plugs then a nice big flat screwdriver used to pry the little buggers out nice & gently is a great help, worked a treat for me :}

as said above grip the plug cover and not the lead and twist and pull at the same time, they will come off... eventually

OK he called the RAC man, the coil is :BEEP: aprantly. He said £80 fitted, now

use dielectric grease putting the leads back on, makes life easier in future
