Just picked up a ST200 6 months old with 600 miles on the clock (ex Ford). Great car but having problems with it stalling since picking up.

When puling away you have to give it about 2000 revs as when the clutch engages the revs then drop down to about 800 revs on pick up. No problem if just ticking over moving along with the traffic with foot off the clutch, so do not think that it is engine/petrol.

Same for reverse need to give 2000 revs, have tried over the last two weeks adjusting driving style to match the clutch take up but is spoiling what is a good car.

:( Could this be a dodgy flywheel such that there is a high spot somewhere and it is this that is not allowing a decent clutch change?. Any help much appreatiated, it is under a Ford direct cover policy so can take it back to a Ford garage but would like any positive advice on what it might be.

Huh. 6 months old, 600 miles on clock????

The last ST200 was made in 2000, last registered I've heard of was 2001?

Have I misunderstood you?
