the st200 should have a ford white (revised) plastic water pump impellor. this one was fitted due to the failings of the old black plastic impellors that had a history of breaking up
I think i will leave it as it is then, i have fully rebuilt x1 and head gasket repair x1 of the duratec sea v6 engines ( std silver top ) and they both have had the plastic ( old style black type ) and have changed them to the metal one, but i was not sure if fords chaged it on the st200 for a better version, if this is the case i will leave it as it is and do a full coolant change and bleed :smoking:My V6 was of a vintage where the revised plastic pump was fitted.
Failure rates appear to be so low I didn't even bother removing it to look...
