Stalk Radio Control

Hi, Can anyone tell me why the stalk radio control does not work? I have just got a 2003 GHIA X with the 9000 radio/cd/sat nav unit fitted as standard (i think)

I had a similar problem, mine stopped all of a sudden. Turned out the wire had come out. Was easy enough to fix, small flat blade screw driver down the back (I think it's the back) and gently pull out stalk, plug wire back in and refit. :L
