does anyone know if the mk3 wheel
the one with black and silver bits will fit on my mk1

It will fit with a lot of work but you wouldnt have an airbag because the mk1+2 have one stage airbags but the mk3 has 2 a stage airbag

Yes, you are correct. The Mk3 airbag is 2 stage device, so you would have problems.
