right i have a new pioneer head unit on the way but i need to try and find an interface so i can still use the steering column stalk contols .. car is 98 ghia X and there seem to be ones on the pioneer site for 00>03 model mondeo's ( presume its mk3 )and not the mk2's so what i wondered is the wiring the same for the mk2 and mk3 stalks and could i use the ones listed for the mk3's ?? cheers

If you got n half decent halfrauds near you, they should have both parts for all mondys and Pioneer adaptors. The one I got was £35 which was about the same as everywhere else before PnP
