can any one help please i have a m reg 1.8 and i have a strange noise from the engine bay,with it i lose power but it only happens at a low speed it sounds like air being sucked in but everything is tight and secure under the bonnet if anyone has any ideas what this could be please let me know thanks.

probably a split vacuum hose somewhere , dont know where though

Check the two vac. pipes on the back of the throttle body.

thanks would that cause poor fuel consumption?
