Sump off, anything else worth doing?

Gotta swap sumps on the galaxy to fit an oil temperature sensor. Its the 1.9 VW engine fitted to pretty much every derv vw out there lol

Having never taken one off before is there anything that I should look to inspect/replace whilst its off?

Change the pick up pipe and o ring, as thes tend to block on VAG's
