Hello all,
A newbie here to the Mondy Forum.
Has anybody played with the on board diagnostics in the 2.0ltr 130hp TDCI.
I have built an interface using the ELM327 chip and it all works up to the point of communicating with the car, but returns a message "Unable to connect" in terminal mode.
Firstly, can somebody confirm that the TDCi Mondy (1st registered Feb 2004) is OBDII compatible?
Secondly which of the comms formats does it use, canbus and/or J1850.
Finally, there are 11 wires go to the OBD connector under the dash and I can only identify 6 of these.
They are
+12 volts Pin 16
Can bus - (Can-L) Pin 14
????? Pin 13
????? Pin 11
J1850 bus - Pin 10
??????? Pin 7
Can Bus + (Can-H) Pin 6
Ground Pin 5
?????? Pin 4
?????? Pin 3
J1850 bus + Pin 2
Does anybody know the function of the others or can throw any light on my problem??

Thanks for your help :thankyousign:

Hi Rainbowcar,
Thanks for the reply. I have now identified all the important connections on the OBDII connector. :thankyousign:
As yet I have not confirmed that the 2004 TDCi is compatible with the OBDII format and will respond to any of the diagnostic software available.
Cheers
